After the symbol for the Indian Rupee was approved by Union Cabinet sometime back, there was no solution to use this symbol on the web. Taking this into consideration, We have come up with a web application, an API, using which any one can use the Rupee Symbol on the web for free and seamlessly across all the major browsers at different platform.

Also keeping in mind non-technical crowd, we have kept it very simple in terms of usage. It can be used in 2 different ways. One method converts all the Rs / Rs. symbol to Rupee Symbol. Or else you can choose to change specific instances of 'Rs' and the symbol generated is not an image, it's a text

The visitors to your website do not require a special font installed at their end. Official Indian Rupee Symbol will be incorporated in the Unicode Character Set will in around 4 months (approximately) or more but to be used by everyone, all the computers globally will have to update their existing UNICODE CHARACTER SET, which is globally not possible in such a short duration. So its our try to contribute to our nation's success.
